Group Description Suitable for Foundations of Change (FOC) The first step to making a change. Why you drink or use, how it makes you feel, and why you want to stop, reduce, or control your use. Those aiming for abstinence from drugs and/or alcohol Foundations of Growth (FOG) Grow the tools to aid your recovery and develop your mind-set to succeed, and achieve your goals. Those who have completed FOC and are abstinent Foundations of Life (FOL) To aid you with your long term recovery and any challenges you may encounter. Those who have completed FOG and are abstinent Pre-Contemplation Group A group to talk about the possibility of reducing or abstaining from alcohol or substances. Note: this group is not for those using opiates only. Anyone who is pre-contemplative in their recovery Ascend Café Brunch club – cooked breakfast and cereal provided to all who attend. All Peer Open Access A drop in for support and signposting, run by peer mentors. A session for those needing someone to talk to. Note: this should not replace keywork support. Health & Wellbeing Group Group talk and activities around health and wellbeing, including healthy eating, sleep, and managing stress. Walk & Talk A walking group for those who want to get some exercise and have a chat. Dogs welcome (but cannot come into the service). Mindfulness Monday / Friday meditation A mindfulness group allowing you to concentrate on the here and now, supporting you to de-stress and create calm. SU involvement A chance for service users to be involved in service planning and delivery; for feedback, improvements, and suggestions about the service. Refreshments provided and travel paid. Those who have used the service in the last 12 months Gardening Afternoon A working allotment where you can get some exercise, improve wellbeing, and watch things grow. Address: Shacklegate Lane, Teddington, TW11 8UJ. All, but cannot attend under the influence Visual Journaling A creative workshop for art journaling. Film Club A weekly film club. Refreshments provided. In Stitches Embroidery Group Unwind while learning to create beautiful designs with simple stitches. Body conditioning Gentle exercise to work the leg, bottom, and stomach muscles. Men’s Group A men’s only group for discussions around daily issues faced by men in recovery. Men only Women’s Group A women’s only group for discussions around daily issues faced by women in recovery. Women only Alcohol Relapse Prevention A group for people who want to maintain abstinence from alcohol. Those abstinent from alcohol Yoga A spiritual and ascetic discipline used for health and relaxation, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures. Books & Biscuits Book Club A book club held at our Barnes Hub. Acupuncture A system of complimentary Chinese medicine in which fine needles are inserted into the skin at specific points.
