The wailing wall V. Valdez

What is it The Wailing wall is a wall in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is a small segment of the walls surrounding the area called, “Temple Mount” by Jews, Christians and the Muslims know it as, “The Nobel Sanctuary”.

Facts about the wailing wall It’s architecture is amazing! Its just perfectly stacked and positioned stones that holds in place with nothing sticking to it. Tourists that visit the wall leave a note in the cracks telling about their petitions to God. Then after twice a year the are taken and buried on Mt. Olive. It got it’s name because millions of Jews cried at the foot of the wall. But the real reason is because at times the wall gets covered in water drops and it resembles teardrops. The last time it cried was in 1940. The tradition to leave petitions to God date back 300 years and come true.

Where it is located It is located in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is in the western part of the small segment of walls.
