Why Did Jesus Come to Earth? I. To Reveal God to Mankind. God the Father sent Jesus (John 12:44-46). God has spoken to us through His Son (Heb. 1:1-3). Jesus is the way to God the Father (John 14:1-7).
Why Did Jesus Come to Earth? II. That Man Might Have Life. This is an abundant life (John 10:7-10). Jesus is the resurrection and the life (John 11:21-27). Jesus alone brings eternal life (Rom. 2:5-10).
Why Did Jesus Come to Earth? III. To Seek and Save the Lost. Jesus called even the unlovable (Luke 19:1-10). Heaven rejoices when the lost are found (Luke 15:4-7). Jesus is the way to be saved (Acts 16:30-33).
Why Did Jesus Come to Earth? IV. To Give His Life a Ransom. Jesus paid the price of man’s sins (Mark 10:42-45). Jesus died for our sin (2 Cor. 5:21). He was free of sin, but offered Himself so we could be saved (Heb. 9:11-15).
Why Did Jesus Come to Earth? V. To Call Sinners to Repentance. He is the Physician for the sickness of the soul (Luke 5:27-32). We must forsake all to be His disciple (Luke 14:25-33). In Christ we can have a new life (Rom. 6:1-7).
