OLIVER HAEFELI ART

Oliver Haefeli of German and Swiss origin, born 1964 He holds a „BFA of Fine Arts with Distinction “ Degree from the ArtCenterCollege of Design Pasadena. His Art seems to represent reflections of surreal, visionary dreams and are expressions of sinister, sensuous, technical images of the subconscious. To explore his visions, he applies two different techniques: „the reflective act“: A highly sophisticated technique, melting classic painting with printing and digital media. This is an elaborate, reflective working process in which the picture slowly evolves to achieve its final stage of development. (mixed media: aquarell, gouache, charcoal, pure pigments, print on canvas) „the raw act“: An imulsive, powerful act of painting, executed directly on big format paper. Straight, brute manifestations of inner fights of the conscious and the unconscious.
