Who am I? Evren ATAMAN Since 1 October 2006 (154 days) B.Sc. In Physics – 2003 Yildiz T. U. M.Sc. In Physics – 2006 Istanbul T. U. Department of Synchrotron Radiation Research

What is my project? Investigation of nitrogen-complexated transition metals X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) to extend the knowledge about how one can build nitrogen- complexated structures at surfaces to learn how one can achieve a high efficiency regarding the transition metals task

What did I do so far? Struggling with courses XPS study of cysteine on titania XPS and NEXAFS of iron phthalocyanine (FePc) on graphite Some attempts with STM of cysteine on titania with Cristina Isvoranu and Joachim Schnadt

What I am supposed do in future? -Cysteine on gold evaporated titanium dioxide - Set-up of pulse valve for liquid deposition (Max-Lab, STM) -Creating a nanomesh with nitrogen-containing molecules on iron (collaboration with Aarhus)
