mindfulness challenge YPD house assembly The weekly mindfulness challenge At Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi we aim to complete the ‘One Year Mindfulness Challenge’. This involves completing and practising a different task each week to help promote mindfulness in all aspects of our lives, to help with mental health and general wellness.

YPD Form Prayers Challenge 9 the week of gratitude At the end of every day this week – write down one thing that happened that you are thankful for and the reasons why. It could be the warm(!) weather, your love for your friends, a moment of joy with your family – whatever it is, just write a couple of sentences explaining why you are grateful for it.

YPD Form Prayers Challenge 9 the week of gratitude… Examples: ‘Today I am grateful for my mum/dad/carer who made my tea without me even asking. It made me feel very thankful that he/she is in my life and he/she thinks and cares about me.’ ‘Today I am grateful that I remembered to pack all my equipment for school. As when my friend had no pen, I was able to lend him one. I am pleased that I am thoughtful and organised enough to achieve this simple but useful task.’

YPD Form Prayers the week of gratitude… This exercise helps us appreciate things that we often gloss over without giving due gratitude. Writing them instead of simply thinking about them sharpens our focus on the appreciation we feel.

The Lord’s Prayer YPD house assembly Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. The Lord’s Prayer

The Grace YPD house assembly Gras ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist, a chariad Duw, A chymdeithas yr Ysbryd Glân a fyddo gyda ni oll Byth bythoedd. Amen. The Grace The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ And the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all, ever more. Amen.
