“Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a savior, who is Christ the lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2:10-12

“But when the fullness of time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem…” Galatians 4:4-5 Born to be savior

What kind of savior? “She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21) “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10) “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for man” (Mark 10:45)

What kind of savior? “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep” (John 10:11)
