Wrapping of the Ascending Aorta in Acute Type A Retrograde Aortic Dissection  Ramzi Ramadan, MD, Alexandre Azmoun, MD, Nawwar Al-Attar, FRCS, PhD, Remi.
Presentation transcript:

Nicole M. Bhave et al. JIMG 2018;11:902-919 Artifact Creating Appearance of Ascending Aortic Dissection on Transthoracic Echocardiography A linear reverberation artifact (arrow) was seen posterior to the proximal ascending aorta (walls indicated by bracket). The artifact caused the posterior wall of the aorta to be identified as a possible dissection flap. This patient subsequently underwent computed tomographic angiography, and no dissection flap was seen. See Online Video 2. Nicole M. Bhave et al.
