Preschool Development Grant 12-month federal grant opportunity to build state and local infrastructure $4.2 million award plus 30% state match identified through philanthropic funding and state General Funds Five grant activities: Conducting a statewide needs assessment ($2 million) Developing or refining a statewide strategic plan ($100K) Maximizing parental choice and knowledge ($1.46 million) Sharing best practices among early childhood providers ($188K) Improving the overall quality of early childhood education services ($300K) Direct PDG funds shown. Additional $300,000 for program evaluation, $30,000 TA. Indirect PDG funding = $25,800
