Primera Purbeck 2-Day, Stage 1, Sat 28/9/13 Route Map Race HQ Location: Furzebrook Village Hall, Furzebrook Road, WAREHAM Car parking at Village Hall and overflow at offices opposite. No parking on highway. OS Grid Ref: SY 929 842, Postcode: BH20 5AU Timings: HQ opens at 1pm. Riders briefing in the hall at 1:45pm. Start is at 2pm. Finish around 4.30pm. HQ needs to be vacated by 6pm. Neutralised section in Convoy (see Risk Assessment for full instructions): Turn left out of Furzebrook village hall proceed north on Furzebrook Road to roundabout at junction with A351 where take first exit left. At first junction turn left into Grange Road. At first junction on the right turn right into Holme Lane. Go straight over B3070 at West Holme crossroads (Marshal Point 8) onto continuation of Holme Lane. Race de-neutralised once clear of X-roads. Race Circuit: Proceed west along Home Lane/Bindon lane to turn left at Marshal Point 11 into narrow, single-width Wood Street lane. At T junction turn left out onto B3071 (Marshal point 12). Proceed through Finish Line (point 15) on Newtown Hill (lap board), with sprint primes for time bonuses on 3/2/1 laps to go. Continue on B3071 over brow to turn left onto B3070 at Marshal Point 17 (limited visibility). Follow B3070 through East Lulworth village (Caution – fast bends) and across West Holme Heath (military training grounds) to X-roads (Marshal Point 8) where left into Holme Lane to complete circuit. Lap distance 10m (16km). Race finishes after 5.5 full laps, 6th time across Finish Line (total race distance 54.1 miles).

Primera Purbeck 2-Day, Stage 1, Sat 28/9/13 Junction & Race Start at Point 8 (see Risk Assessment & Route Map) Location: OS Grid Ref: SY 886 855, Postcode: BH20 6AQ ETA for convoy on first lap: 14:12, then at ~25 minute intervals Marshals: 2 x Accredited Marshals positioned to left & right on B.3070 to stop traffic to allow neutralised race convoy to cross. N.B. Race starts (de-neutralised) once clear across crossroads - main race circuit commences. Equipment Required: 2 x Accredited Marshal ‘lollipop’ Stop Signs 2 x Hi-Vis Jackets 1 x Whistle 1 x 449MHz Radio 1 x Race Direction Arrow (for use on B.3070 to south of crossroads after race starts – see later) 4 x Cycle Event Warning Signs 2 x Traffic Control Ahead Signs N.B. Some signage needs moving after race starts to prepare for subsequent circuits – see later instructions.

Primera Purbeck 2-Day, Stage 1, Sat 28/9/13 Junction at Point 11 (see Risk Assessment & Route Map) CAUTION Location: OS Grid Ref: SY 862 861, Postcode: BH20 6AS ETA for convoy on first lap: 14:16, then at ~25 minute intervals Marshals: 1 x Static Marshal (A) to indicate turn to race convoy. 2 x Accredited Marshals: (B) in Bindon Lane beyond junction to warn/stop traffic approaching from Wool (C) in Wood Street at lay-by beyond junction to direct oncoming vehicles to give way to race convoy, using lay-by if possible Equipment Required: 2 x Accredited Marshal ‘lollipop’ Stop Signs 3 x Hi-Vis Jackets 1 x Whistle 1 x 449MHz Radio 1 x Flag (optional – for use by Static Marshal to indicate race direction only) 1 x Race Direction Arrow 2 x Cycle Event Warning Signs 2 x Traffic Control Ahead Signs N.B: Wood Street between here and Point 12 (1.25 miles) is a narrow (single width) winding lane with occasional passing places. Advise marshals at Point 12 by radio that race convoy has entered his section.

Additional Static Marshals may be placed here to assist, if available. Equipment Required: 2 x Accredited Marshal ‘lollipop’ Stop Signs 2 x Hi-Vis Jackets 1 x Whistle 1 x 449MHz Radio 1 x Race Direction Arrow 2 x Cycle Event Warning Signs 2 x Traffic Control Ahead Signs

Primera Purbeck 2-Day, Stage 1, Sat 28/9/13 Left at Point 8 (see Risk Assessment & Route Map) Location: OS Grid Ref: SY 886 855, Postcode: BH20 6AQ Marshals: 2 x Accredited Marshals: (A) on B.3070 at X-roads to stop/hold traffic from north on B.3070 (B) to stop/hold oncoming traffic in Holme Lane (east side) (NB: Both marshals will need to take care that no traffic turns into Holme Lane westbound on race route whilst race is negotiating the turn) All Required Equipment already in place from Race Start (see earlier) - some signage will need repositioning once race is established on main race circuit. redeploy these 2 signs after race starts

Location: OS Grid Ref: SY 837 838, Postcode: BH20 5PR ETA for race finish (after 5.5 laps): 16:30 Marshals: 1 x Static Marshal to control car parking (already in place from earlier laps) 1 x Accredited Marshal to stop /hold traffic approaching Race Finish Area from direction of Lulworth (moves here, with other marshals, from Point 17 during last lap) . All available marshals help prevent obstruction of carriageway by race convoy, competitors, helpers and spectators during and after race finish. All Required Equipment already in place from earlier laps or transferred here by marshals from Point 17 prior to race finish. Marshals move here from Point 17 on last lap to control traffic and help prevent obstruction of carriageway by race convoy, competitors, helpers and spectators.
