Wrt 205: critical research Dr. Rusty Bartels Friday, March 29th, 2019 Week 10, Day 3

Overview Review Synthesizing Research Assignment Freewrite Genre stations Wrap-up

Review Synthesizing Research Assignment One group will be responsible for explaining part A The rest of the groups will be responsible for explaining Part B, but with a twist Each group will also be responsible for identifying at least 2 different non-essay genres In doing so you will also explore some composition related choices you will have to make in order to create something in that genre

Freewrite What have you learned from your primary research? What have you learned from your secondary research? What are your research questions? What claims are you making?

Genre Stations I’d like you all to circulate, and talk to someone (and not always the same person) at each station about what it would look like for you to compose your research findings within that genre. Video Podcast Website Social media campaign Play/one act Artistic creation

Wrap-up Today we: Reviewed expectations for Synthesizing research Reflected on our research process to date Next time: Reading: Twitter thread on Civility Focus: Civility, Discourse, & Power Questions: Twitter thread as a genre - how does this effect the information presented within? How do ideas of “civility” connect to the discourses that you are engaged in for this research project?
