WHY DO I NEED A RESUME… I’M ONLY 14. To get a head start for when you want a job Think critically about your life! What are your goals? How can you represent yourself positively on paper? TO MAKE MONEY $$$

What’s on a resume? Who you are & what type of employee you’ll be. Tells employer how to contact you Prior jobs or responsibilities (volunteer or paid) Special skills (typing, CPR certified, First Aid) Your education level bottom line: Who you are & what type of employee you’ll be.

Key things to remember: Be honest! Proofread: no spelling mistakes! Make sure to capitalize letters! Make sure you read it out loud! “Easy on the eyes” Show your strengths. What makes you so great?
