Main Ideas about Babylonian trading My caravan (group of travelers journeying together) included my friend Karen, my sister Lynn, and five camels. Our supplies include one hundred bronze swords and fifty pounds of Egyptian spices. We traveled north along the Euphrates River to Babylon. The king just had new roads built, which makes our journey easier. Before it took us a week to reach Babylon, now it only takes us two days.

Main Ideas about Babylonian trading We finally reached Babylon! The city is a great place to trade because it is located in between cities to the south and cities to the north. It became sort of a pit stop for traders! Once we get to the bazaar I am amazed at all the exotic food and items! We immediately trade our swords for twenty pounds of Indian cotton!
