Crime Scene Reconstruction: Bloodstain Pattern Analysis Lesson 4: More Blood Spatter Patterns March 9, 2015 Sanders

Void Patterns The shape of the void may give a clue as to the size and shape of the missing object or person because the spatter is deposited on the objects or person instead. July 13, 2019 Bloodstain Analysis

Void Patterns Voids also show areas that can outline objects. The blood spatter on the object also matches the pattern on the floor. July 13, 2019 Bloodstain Analysis

Contact Patterns Transfer patterns are created when an object with blood on it makes simple contact with a surface or moves along a surface. July 13, 2019 Bloodstain Analysis

Transfer Patterns The distance of movement may be shown by feathering of the pattern. July 13, 2019 Bloodstain Analysis

Skeletonization After a period of time, blood would start to dry and clot in the area. Depending on the material it has fallen on, the amount of blood, and the environment of the crime scene (temperature/moisture in the area) would affect the time that the blood would take to dry.
