All
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Pr. 3:5-6)
Relational guidance is far better than textbook instruction- Wisdom is personified and meant to be interactive with us because our LORD is the One True Living God who does not fail.
Twice the Scripture invites us to go about this faith with ALL committed to God, the All of the Heart and of the Deeds. All means All. There is no substitute for All.
It is important for the Hebrew perspective to overtake our modern English viewpoint when we are invited to “acknowledge Him,” as the word yada means much, much more than nodding one’s head at a travelling companion!
The principle of this Proverb is that the LORD, who invites us to travel life as His people, will not make the path easier in His presence, but that only in His presence is the path visible at all.
