CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS 8TH GRADE ELA Mrs. Burrus Room 205 jburrus@eastland.esc14.net   GRADING POLICY  40% Formative Assessments (purpose is to determine progress toward mastery of skills such as daily grades and quizzes) 60% Summative Assessments (purpose is to evaluate student mastery of skills such as tests and projects) SUPPLY LIST Folder with Pockets for Class Notes/Class Work (brads optional) Notebook Paper and/or Spiral Pens/Pencils J    Tutorials Mondays and Wednesdays are assigned for ELA tutoring from 3:30-4:15 I will let you know ahead of time if you must attend.   CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS Always Do Your Best Have Respect for Yourself Have Respect for Others http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/The-Enlightened-Elephant 2016-2017 Late/Make-up Work It is the STUDENT’S Responsibility to get all Assignments and Make-up Work Turned in to Me. Late work will NOT be accepted after the 5th week of the Six Weeks Late Work requires T-School in order to be accepted. When you turn in late work, it requires more of my time, therefore you must give some of your time in return. EXTRAS My class will have a Remind 101 to send important information to parents and students. I keep my EISD Teacher Page current with information about our class. Students are welcome to come by before or after school any day to get help with work.
