Process for Local District Goal Setting Plan to Involve Board of Trustees Review Baseline Data and Report Goals Development Process Review Existing Plans and Priorities Set Local Goals Adopt and Report Local Goals

Review Existing Plans and Priorities January, 2019 Start with existing plans: Strategic Plan, Educational Master Plan Review existing goals Are they measurable? Do they align with the Vision for Success goals? Compare to current baseline data

Set Local Goals February – April, 2019 Work with district leadership to set measurable goals using indicators from the Student Success Metrics Completion Indicators Transfer Indicators Unit accumulation Indicator Workforce Indicators Equity Indicators

Goal 1: Completion Systemwide Goal 4/16/2019 NOVA: Local Vision Goals Goal 1: Completion Systemwide Goal Increase by at least 20% the number of CCC students annually who acquire associate degrees, credentials, certificates, or specific job-oriented skill sets. Goal 1C: Increase All Students Who Attained the Vision Goal Completion Definition College of the Sequoias will increase among all students, the unduplicated count of students who earned one or more of the following: Chancellor’s Office approved certificate, associate degree, and/or CCC baccalaureate degree, and had an enrollment in the selected or previous year. # in 2016-17 Expected # in 2021-22 % Increase 1,245 1,579 27%

Goal 2: Transfer Systemwide Goal 4/16/2019 NOVA: Local Vision Goals Goal 2: Transfer Systemwide Goal Increase by at least 35% the number of CCC students system-wide transferring annually to a UC or CSU Goal 2B: Increase All Students Who Transferred to a CSU or UC Institution College of the Sequoias will increase among all students, the number who transferred to a four-year institution from: # in 2016-17 Expected # in 2021-22 % Increase 586 645 10%

Goal 3: Unit Accumulation 4/16/2019 NOVA: Local Vision Goals Goal 3: Unit Accumulation Systemwide Goal Decrease the average number of units accumulated by CCC students earning associate degrees, from approximately 87 total units to 79 total units, a decrease of 9%. Goal 3A: Decrease Average Number of Units Accumulated by All Associate Degree Earners College of the Sequoias will decrease among all students who earned an associate degree in the selected year and who were enrolled in the previous or selected year, the average number of units earned in the California community college system among students who had completed at least 60 units at any community college. # in 2016-17 Expected # in 2021-22 % Decrease 84 78 7%

Goal 4: Workforce Systemwide Goal 4/16/2019 NOVA: Local Vision Goals Goal 4: Workforce Systemwide Goal Increase the percent of exiting students who report being employed in their field of study, from the most recent statewide average of 69% to 76%, an increase of 9%. Goal 4C: Increase All Students with a Job Closely Related to Their Field of Study College of the Sequoias will increase among all students who responded to the CTE Outcomes Survey and did not transfer, the proportion who reported that they are working in a job very closely or closely related to their field of study from: % in 2016-17 Expected % in 2021-22 % Increase 68% 73% 7%

Goal 5: Equity Systemwide Goal Reduce equity gaps across all of the above measures through faster improvements among traditionally underrepresented student groups, with the goal of cutting achievement gaps by 40% within 5 years and fully closing those achievement gaps for good within 10 years.
