3 NGV Market in Southern California Key markets deploying natural gas vehicles include – Transit and school buses – Refuse haulers & street sweepers – Airport Fleets (taxis, shuttles) – Municipal Fleets Key drivers for the NGV market include – SCAQMD and CARB Fleet Rules – High cost of petroleum – Favorable federal, state and local grant funding and tax treatment

4 NGV Market in Southern California Load Growth – From 2000 to 2005, NGV fuel use has grown 128% to more than 7 Bcf annually. – At the end of 2005 there were 213 CNG fueling stations – Approximately 20,000 CNG vehicles – New tariff issued for home NGV refueling – Annual throughput expected to increase to 10 Bcf by 2015

5 Existing public station Infrastructure in Southern California There are almost 70 public access stations located throughout Southern California. Maps of CNG stations are available from several sources: – CNGVC map booklets – Internet sites such as or – SoCalGas and SDG&E one page maps
