Wylie Football League Coaches priority/seniority Returning coaches will have priority over New coaches Returning coaches seniority will be based on number of years in the WFL based on a point system 1 point for every year as a head coach ½ point for every year as an assistant coach It does not matter what division he/she has coached previously as long it was in the Wylie Football League. A Coach cannot bring in points from another league Example: PSA

Wylie Football League Example: Mark has been a coach in the WFL for 15 years. 7 of those years Mark was an assistant coach and 8 of those years he was a head coach. 7 yrs. x .50 = 3.5 points 8 yrs. x 1.0 = 8.0 points Total points are 11.5 points This is Mark’s seniority number

Wylie Football League Board members of the WFL will Accumulate an additional 1 point for every year on the WFL Board of Directors. Example: Mike has been a coach in the WFL for 10 years. 5 of those years Mike was an assistant coach and 5 of those years he was a head coach. Mike has also been on the WFL Board of directors for 4 years. 5 yrs. x .50 = 2.5 points 5yrs. x 1.0 = 5.0 points 4 Yrs. x 1.0 = 4.0 points Total points are 11.5 points This is Mike’s seniority number

Wylie Football League At this point Mark and Mike have the same seniority number. If both are in the same division there would be a coin toss. By the way Mark won the coin toss, sorry Mike. New coaches Your priority/seniority will be based on the date of your signup application Coaches with the same signup application date, the time will be the deciding factor.

How do we pick who goes FIRST? Wylie Football League How do we pick who goes FIRST? The decision of picking order for the first-round draft is as follows The Coach with the most seniority will draw first for position order (first pick for the draft) and will continue in that order until all teams have a position.

Wylie Football League “Catchup Draft Cycle.” As the orders are set the team with the least Reserved Players will ultimately go first That Coach / Team will pick until that team has an equal number of players to the next lowest Reserve Player Count Coach/Team. When the Coach/Team becomes equal with the next lowest Reserve Player Count. The Coach/Team Who has the lowest position number will pick the next draftee. This “Catchup Draft Cycle” will continue till all Coaches/ Teams have an equal number of players. At this point the “Catchup Draft Cycle” ends and the “Norman Draft Cycle” begins

First Position Coach/Team will pick the next Draftee Second Position will then be next to choose the next Draftee Third Position will then be next to choose the next Draftee Forth Position will then be next to choose the next Draftee This Normal Draft Cycle will continue until all Positions have had a chance to choose a Draftee.

The order will go into reverse Forth Position will then be next to choose the next Draftee Third Position will then be next to choose the next Draftee Second Position will then be next to choose the next Draftee First Position Coach/Team will pick the next Draftee

IMPORTANT Wylie Football League Time Limits All Positions will have 2 minutes to make their pick/choice after that time that position will be considered to have “Passed” their pick/choice and the next position will begin to choose their Draftee.
