Paraphrasing What is it?

A paraphrase is… A new way to explain what you read A legal way to write what you read More detailed than a summary. A summary restates the main idea Not legal

Paraphrasing is valuable because…. It helps you not to copy. It let’s you understand the whole meaning of what you read.

How do I paraphrase? Read Look up some of the big words you don’t understand. Re read. Re read until you understand. Write description of what you understood. Any words you copy should have “quotes” around them.
