Rochdale AFC Academy Games Programme 2018/19

How does the Academy manage the Playing opportunities in the Foundation Phase? 1. Age Group 2. Achievement of playing opportunities detailed in the rules State the Academy playing opportunities policy that coaches adopt as good practice within the phase and per age-group for registered players and trialists including goalkeepers.  Each Academy player in age groups U9 to U11 should, subject to fitness, participate in at least fifty percent (50%) of each authorised game in the FP and have access to at least one authorised game a week (if an authorised game is provided for any of the outfield players).  

Foundation Phase   All players in the Foundation Phase U9-U12 have access, subject to fitness, to 1 Academy game per week, subject to the fixtures supplied, and will play 50% of that game. All players will, on average over the season, play at least half the playing time of games in the season. This is to be recorded by age group coaches in each players PMA. This is to be monitored by the Foundation Phase Lead Coach.

Achievement of playing opportunities detailed in the rules State the Academy playing opportunities policy that coaches adopt as good practice within the phase and per age-group for registered players and trialists including goalkeepers.   Each registered Academy player in age groups U12 to U14 should, subject to fitness, participate in at least fifty percent (50%) of each authorised game in the FP and have access to at least one authorised game a week (if an authorised game is provided for any of the outfield players). Each registered Academy player in age groups U15 to U16 should, subject to fitness, participate (at least 50% of the game time) in at least twenty authorised games per season.

Youth Development Phase   All players in the Youth Development Phase U13-U16 have access, subject to fitness, to 1 Academy game per week, subject to the fixtures supplied, and will play 50% of that game. All U13-U14 players will, on average over the season, play at least half the playing time of matches in the Games Programme. All U15-U16 players will play, subject to fitness, at least half the playing time of 20 games in the season. This is to be recorded by age group coaches in each players PMA. This is to be monitored by the Youth Development Phase Lead Coach.

Achievement of playing opportunities detailed in the rules State the Academy playing opportunities policy that coaches adopt as good practice within the phase and per age-group for registered players and trialists including goalkeepers.  

Professional Development Phase   All players in the Professional Development Phase U17 & U18 have access, subject to fitness, to 1 Academy game per week. All U17 players will play, subject to fitness, at least half the playing time of 15 games in the season. All U18 players will play, subject to fitness, at least half the playing time of 10 games in the season. This is to be recorded by age group coaches in each players PMA. This is to be monitored by the Professional Development Phase Lead Coach.
