Background and Interests Parametric Human Project Part of the Environment and Ergonomics Group at Autodesk Research. Headed by Azam Khan Areas of interest: Develop a complete, anatomically accurate, data-driven biomechanical model of the human body. Develop a collaborative biomechanical modeling and simulation framework enabling community collaboration Develop a biomechanical authoring environment for various software platforms. Topics I want to see covered: Detailed coverage of OpenSim joints and muscles. Want to reproduce OpenSim joint motion using custom Maya networks and/or plugins.

Primary Goal to be Accomplished Is Autodesk Maya an appropriate authoring tool for OpenSim models? Evaluating Autodesk Maya as a an authoring platform for various existing biomechanical frameworks. Is there enough functionality in Maya to load, author, and save OpenSim models? How much of the built-in functionality is sufficient? How much is customized? Goals: Improve our OpenSim importer to include joints and muscles. Obtain a detailed understanding of OpenSim joints. Understand the minimum specification of a complete OpenSim model. 3
