Paired t tests were conducted to analyse the pretest and post-test scores for the control and intervention groups for each subscale. All values represent mean±SEM. (A) Fantasy: Analyses revealed no significant difference between the pretest and post-test scores for the control group. Analyses did reveal a significant difference between the pretest and post-test scores in the intervention group (*p<0.05). (B) Empathic Concern (EC): Analyses revealed no significant differences between the pretest and post-test scores of either the control or the intervention groups. (C) Perspective Taking: Analyses revealed no significant differences between the pretest and post-test scores of either the control or the intervention groups. (D) Personal Distress: Analyses revealed a significant difference between the pretest and post-test means of the control group (*p<0.05).
