In addition, a layer has been added that shows locations of industrial parks (Indiana Department of Transportation). Updated layers... The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), Office of Land Quality, provided updated versions of their layers (18 layers). The color aerial photos taken in Spring, 2005, as part of the Statewide Orthophotography Project (provided by Indiana University, University Information Technology Services) were also added that month. On the first day the site had 23,000 unique visitors and 450,000 page views. Merger of GIS Atlas with IndianaMap The name of the Web site has been changed to IndianaMap. This change reflects a collaborative effort by the Indiana Geographic Information Officer, Indiana Office of Technology; Indiana Geological Survey; Indiana Department of Transportation; Indiana Geographic Information Council; and others to continue development of a single statewide map for Indiana. Although the name and appearance of the Web site have changed, its functionality and content will continue to be enhanced and regularly updated, as before.
