Tver Imperial Palace The Imperial Palace is the main sight of Tver. It was built in the second half of 18th century and was intended for rest of members of the imperial family on the way from St. Petersburg to Moscow. The Palace served as the center of social life, where high society gathered, and where many prominent people from Moscow and St. Petersburg came. Its halls now house a picture gallery exhibiting masterpieces by Ivan Aivazovsky, Isaak Levitan, Valentin Serov and many other famous artists

Torzhok, Tver region People come here for inspiration. Here worked «Russian Leonardo DaVinci» Nikolay Lvov.
