archinertia Why “Pocket Neighborhoods?” by kirby hopper They’re small, they’re beautiful, they’re affordably priced. They’re not just subdivisions, they are strong communities that support positive family relationships. Pocket Neighborhoods are attractive to single professionals, single women, empty nesters, and young families who appreciate the low maintenance offered by condominiums, the security of a tight-knit community, the privacy and autonomy of a detached home, and the savings of smaller, higher-density homes. Census data released in 2013 indicates that singles living alone account for 27 percent of all U.S. households. Pocket Neighborhoods were conceived well before the credit crunch, fluctuating fuel costs, and eco-consciousness began to give the small-house movement added momentum.
