Memos Bennett’s Practice Kindergarten 303-651-7900 ext 252 dbennett@ flagstaffacademy.org Memos Read-Alouds,- Little Red Hen, If you give a Mouse a Brownie Daily 5 will be implemented over the next several weeks. We are focusing on Read-to-Self and building stamina. Reading: Daily 5 -Read to Self -Work on Writing -Word Work- beginning sounds, rhyming words, upper and lower case letters -Listen to Reading Math: Calendar Envision Math – Count up to 5. figure out the number before/after, explain what you know about counting, review for assessment-math games 0-5. Manipulatives-counters, linking cubes Science/Social Studies: Seasons and Weather-Grasshopper and the Ants, Severe Weather Language/Skills Nursery Rhymes-This Little Pig Went to Market, One, Two, Buckle My Shoe, Star Light, Star Bright, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star Skills- sound and syllable blending, tracing arches, zigzags and spirals, picture card fine motor skills with play dough. Week of September 10 Upcoming Events A Peek at Our Week September 14 - No School Teacher Inservice September 19 – Class Pictures September 22-Fall Festival Practice Showing ways to make 5. Use objects at home to reinforce this. Recognizing a number in written words, tally marks, and symbol. Reading to and with your child. Model how to read with finger under the word. Identify sight words. Practice reading and writing upper and lowercase letter identification as well as his/her name. Sounds each letter makes. . * Please return the BOOK ORDER by September 18th.
