PROJECTILE MOTION DEFINE PROJECTILE MOTION HEIGHT OF PROJECTILE TIME OF FLIGHT RANGE OF THE PROJECTILE

DEFINE FOLLOWING: PROJECTILE:2-D MOTION UNDER CONSTANT ACCELERATION DUE TO GRAVITY. TRAJECTORY:THE PATH FOLLOWED BY A PROJECTILE. TIME OF FLIGHT:TIME TAKEN BY A PROJECTILE FROM POINT OF PROJECTION TILL IT HITS THE GROUND. RANGE:MAXIMUM DISTANCE THAT A PROJECTILE COVERS IN HORIZONTAL DIRECTION.

HORIZONTAL AND VETICAL VELOCITY FOR A PROJECTILE THE HORIZONTAL VELOCITY IS ALWAYS CONSTANT SINCE NO EXTENAL FORCE IS ACTING ON IT WHILE VERTICAL VELOCITY CHANGES FOR EVEY INSTANT DUE TO THE VETICAL FORCE ACTING ON IT I.E THE FOCE DUE TO GRAVITY.

HEIGHT OF PROJECTILE The maximum height of the object is the highest vertical position along its trajectory. The maximum height of the projectile depends on the initial velocity v0, the launch angle θ, and the acceleration due to gravity.
