Presentation transcript:

Atmosphere and Air Pollution Test Block Day 3/21 and 3/22 Know the 4 layers of the atmosphere and characteristics of each layer. Describe the difference between good ozone and bad ozone. The sources of chemicals that form ozone in the troposphere Know the 6 criterion pollutants, how they form and the effects that they have on humans and the environment. Know the difference between primary and secondary pollutants and examples of each. Know what Thermal inversion is, how it works, and why we care. Describe the greenhouse effect. Know the different greenhouse gases. What is acid rain? How does it form? In which part of the country is it the worst? What is causing a hole in the ozone in the stratosphere? Where is the hole forming? Describe the different sources of air pollution. Know when the clean air act was signed by congress and what it’s purpose is.
