Government Chartered by King George II in 1732 Put under the governance of 21 trustees Became a Royal Government in 1752 Became a slave colony in 1749 Created rules and regulations to: Craft the colony into a utopia No social classes laws against slavery and alcoholic beverages When it was first started you could not: have slaves own more than 500 acres of land or practice Catholicism or Judaism out loud.
