Weather Vocabulary

Weather The condition of the atmosphere on any given day. The sun and the water cycle create the weather.

Clouds A collection of tiny water droplets or ice crystals that float in the air

Air Pressure The weight of the atmosphere Measured with a barometer

Temperature How hot or cold something is Measured with a thermometer

Humidity The amount of moisture or water vapor in the air Measured with a psychrometer Higher humidity lower air pressure

Wind The movement of air from high pressure to low pressure. Measured with an anemometer

CONDENSATION EVAPORATION PRECIPITATION
