Sketch/write #8: Review the Cinemagraph examples #1 and #2. Define Cinemagraph. What is it? What makes it different from a gif? Choose one example cinemagraph and describe it in detail. What is the concept, the environment, and what is moving? What makes it a great photograph? Explain the composition, subject matter, and lighting. What makes it a great cinemagraph? What is the subtle movement? What mood/tone is created?

Sketch/write #9: Brainstorm 3 Concepts for your Cinemagraph. Explain your concept for 1 cinemagraph idea. Explain the setting/environment, time of day, props or people involved, and subtle movement. Draw a thumbnail sketch of your concept #1. Explain your concept for a second cinemagraph. See #1. Draw a thumbnail sketch of your concept #2. Explain your concept for a third cinemagraph. See #1. Draw a thumbnail sketch of your concept #3.

Sketch/write #7: Independent Project Research: What project will you complete? Why does it appeal to you? Research 1 or more photographers or artists whom work in this style. Include a description of their process, what they shoot, locations, procedures, materials or supplies needed, etc. Draw 3 thumbnail sketches of their photographs/artwork or describe 3 in detail. Explain why you chose these 3 images. What is successful about them? How may these works inspire your own work? Explain the concepts for your own photographs/artworks. What will they be of? What is the overall concept/idea? Explain what you will do for your own photographs/artworks. What will you need, where will you shoot, what props or staging will you have to do, etc.
