GEF-5 Replenishment

Context of the Replenishment Over 15 years, GEF has become the financial mechanism of four MEAs. Increasing attention to climate change – proliferation of funds for mitigation and adaptation. Discussion at the UNFCCC for a new financial mechanism. Challenge to the raison d’etre of the GEF as the central financial mechanism to the MEAs.
