Mixing/Lifetime Needs Brad Abbott (Christos Leonidopoulos)

Lifetimes Bs Bd B+ Average B Lambda_b B+/B0 We wrote a list of what things we think needs to be addressed Asked primary authors what they think needs to be done

“Task list” For example: Bias in event-event vertexing: Use beam spot Most analyses need to increase MC statistics and use latest MC Make sure same size errors for same systematics … Analysis specific items Will send out to analyzers

Publications Would like to publish lifetime results Some work necessary to get finalized results and write paper People moving on to other analyses, students graduating etc. Who will push these results through?

Dimuon data HTFAA extended data: Based on p13 and dimuon triggers Now have p14 data available with no trigger requirement Statistically limited on some measurements Should we rerun over p14 data and repick? Need to understand how much we will gain Run over same run range: HTFAA extended and p14 data to see how much we gain. (need a volunteer to do this)

Mixing Semileptonic modes is fairly well covered PV: Yuri Decay length resolution: Christos/Brad Correction Factor: Ike/Vivek Event selection: Guennadi Fitting: Tulika/Hal Tagging: Xiaojian,Christos,Avdhesh,Jim

Delta Md Need to do this before Bs mixing B->D* mu x : 175 events/pb-1 50 pb-> 8750 events eD2=0.1 -> 875 tagged events Wendy has expressed interest in this, could use more people

Hadronic modes Rick/Chris working on this No evidence of a signal yet More people would be welcome L3 trigger work needed.

Sensitivity Semileptonic: yields  Proper time res X Hadronic yields X Proper time res  Really need these numbers before we can give estimates that we can believe
