Diary Update and notices Blewbury Endowed C of E Primary School Diary Update and  notices W/C 13th May  Dear Parents and Guardians, A huge thank you to everyone who has offered words of support this week following the release of our OFSTED report. Sending out a report that judged our school to be  inadequate was extremely difficult, yet this whole difficult situation has been made so much easier by having such overwhelming support from parents and the wider community.  I know all the staff would like me to pass on their heartfelt thanks for all the messages  and to also let you know, that as a team, we are absolutely committed to addressing each and every point made within the report.  I will be updating you regularly through this newsletter to inform you of the actions we have taken and the impact this has had for your children. I hope as many of you as possible are able to make the meeting on Monday at 6.30pm so you have an opportunity to have your questions answered and find out about the next stages of school  improvement. NEXT WEEK – Year 6 SATs Next week, our year 6 children will be sitting their SATs.  I would like to say how proud we all are of how hard they have been working to prepare for these tests.  Our year 6 children are extremely talented in many areas – music, art, sports, science, dancing, engineering – and although we want them to do their very best in the tests, we also want them to know that each of them is special and unique and there are many ways in which someone can be 'smart'.  So, to all our year 6's have a relaxing weekend, sleep well and eat a healthy breakfast Monday morning so you arrive ready and prepared! We will all be thinking of you!                                               Different ways to get your children to talk about their day at school.                                 What made your teacher/friend smile?                                  What was the nicest/kindest thing you did for someone else?                                   If one of your classmates could be the teacher for the day who would you want it to be,                                  and why?  Thank you again for all your support.  Have a relaxing weekend, and I hope to see lots of you at the meeting on Monday, Becky Costello  A few reminders A polite reminder to walk around the back of the school building to drop off or pick up from classrooms – please do not walk through the car park as there are often cars arriving/leaving at these times. Please could all children have a named PE kit in school every day.
