Scenario: Category 5 Hurricane with wind speeds of 160 mph Due to hit Clayton in 32 hours on Sunday 10/20 Hurricane warning for Johnston County in effect until further notice 9pm curfew in effect until further notice Follow evacuation routes to nearest shelter or safe place (Remind people about bringing certain items, what the damage may be like, what about being rescued, how long possibly gone from home, etc.) CERT Basic Training, Unit 5: Light Search and Rescue Operations

Emergency Alert Message 2- Shelter In Place Create a 1.5 minute Emergency Alert System Message to be broadcasted. Scenario: Winter Storm due to hit Clayton in 48 hours on Monday 1/7 Winter Storm warning for Johnston County in effect until further notice Temperature is not expected to get above 23 degrees for the next 3 days, snow will begin falling in the early hours of the morning. Winds are also expected to be 40-50mph. Prepare to shelter in place for the next 4 days (Remind people about preparing certain things, what are possible health related problems with extreme cold, should we limit time outside, what about being rescued, what not to do in homes, etc.) CERT Basic Training, Unit 5: Light Search and Rescue Operations
