The Water Cycle By Jennifer Williams

Introduction | Task | Process | Evaluation | Conclusion Introduction Water is a substance that can naturally occur in three different forms, SOLID, LIQUID, and GAS The solid form of water can be found in the glaciers and ice caps on the opposite poles of the Earth. We are most familiar with water in its liquid form. We see it in our lakes, rivers, streams, and oceans. Water vapor rises into the atmosphere and condenses back into a liquid through clouds, fog, and mist. The water then falls to Earth in the form of rain, hail, sleet, and snow to nourish our planet and sustain life. Much of Earth’s water is in constant motion, and the water cycle describes the continuous movement of water on, above, and below the surface of Earth. The water cycle is truly a “cycle,” with no beginning or end. http://www.uen.org/Lessonplan/preview?LPid=21523

Introduction | Task | Process | Evaluation | Conclusion Our local water conservation plant needs our help. Their newly hired scientists do not know what the water cycle is. You may help them by doing the following… Identify and define the water cycle, Know and understand the terms evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. Conduct your own water experiment with your assigned group.

Introduction | Task | Process | Evaluation | Conclusion Click to read Water-More Precious than Gold Know and understand the terms evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. Answer these questions in your science notebook. Science Project Groups If you are in group 1, click here If you are in group 2, click here If you are in group 3 join the teacher and click here After you have conducted your experiment with your group, report your results to the class during reflect and review.

Introduction | Task | Process | Evaluation | Conclusion Your final grade will be based on your knowledge of the water cycle shown in your science notebooks and how well you participate and work as a group during your science project.

Introduction | Task | Process | Evaluation | Conclusion Were you able to understand the water cycle so our class may help the local water conservatory train the scientists? Did you learn anything new about the water cycle? The conservatory and I hope you did and had fun while learning! For more fun click here for a fun and interactive website
