Capacity building in cost-benefit analysis Increasing interest in cost benefit analysis (CBA) As evidence to donors To inform project design Complement/support/strengthen the EIA process Recent training in CBA as part of PACC project Jointly delivered by SPREP, GIZ, SPC, and UNDP Practical focus targeting economists and non-economists Ongoing requests for in-country training from PICs (e.g. Kiribati, Tuvalu, Vanuatu)

Recommendation We seek the Meetings: Guidance on and endorsement of the proposed P-CBA Initiative; Request that Members submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) letter outlining the level and type of capacity building assistance in CBA Attachment 2 of the background paper outlines the basic information to be included in any EOI letters.
