(Formerly Matching Grants) Global Grants (Formerly Matching Grants)

Purpose Global Grants are large, long-term projects with sustainable measureable outcomes. Projects/activities are International partnerships that are supported by TRF’s World Fund Match.

Types of activities supported Projects aligned with Rotary’s focus areas Peace and conflict prevention/resolution Disease prevention and treatment Water and sanitation Maternal and child health Basic education and literacy Economic and community development

Proposal Submission and Deadline Initial proposal must be submitted online at matchinggrants.org Grant proposals requesting DDF should be submitted by Aug 1, 2017 for approval by the District Grants Committee After district approval and complete funding, the GG application must be submitted to The Rotary Foundation at www.Rotary.org

Qualifications Club and district must be in good standing(RI and District dues, 990 reporting, finances, etc.) Club/District must not be delinquent on any Global Grants Minimum $100 support/member to Annual Giving Fund Participation in District Global Grant Certification Training Proposal must be submitted online at www.matchinggrants.org Minimum budget of $30,000 with a minimum of $15,000 and maximum of $200,000 provided by the Rotary Foundation World Fund

Stewardship Sponsoring clubs are responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and the success of the grant. Funds must be kept in a dedicated bank account. Grants must address both aspects of the Rotary area of focus. Grants MUST adequately address the long term sustainability of the project. .

Final Report Clubs must submit a Final Report to The Rotary Foundation within one year of receipt of funding from TRF. The report must measure success of the project and account for all expenditures including a complete bank statement. Receipts must be kept for five years and be available for audit by TRF.
