Presentation transcript:

Building Leaders in God’s Kingdom Impact comes from Relationship not Position Foundational Scriptures: John 4:5-30; 8:1-11

b. No strings, nothing expected in return. Love Unconditionally a. John 13:34-35 b. No strings, nothing expected in return. c. True mark of discipleship.

2. He didn’t wait for them to come to Him, He went to them. Jesus knew the importance of relationships. He did not set up a throne in the middle of each city and say, This is my palace., the only place you can see me. He went to the marketplace, he went to the boars of the fishermen. He went to the synagogue and the homes of the people. He went through the towns preaching and healing everywhere. (Luke 9:6)

Your relationship must be authentic. a. No counterfeits b. Live your life how you speak it c. Be open to discipleship – mentoring others. When Jesus called His twelve, he knew they had flaws and wasn’t perfect, but he seen the value in them. And picked twelve to carry on the message and raise up others. This is the model that Jesus set in motion.

Application Ask God to enhance and authentic your love for others. (John 13:34-35 – true mark of discipleship) Go fishing – don’t wait for the PERFECT TIMING because there is not perfect timing! Become a mentor to someone that has no mentor.

3) Be a living example of Jesus Christ to others not only in word, but in action!
