Aquatic Center Rock Excavation Status

Rock encountered at elevations higher than anticipated in design and geotechnical report. SCI Report States: “We do not anticipate that rock excavation will be required for construction of the proposed pools; however, due to the varying elevations of the rock encountered, rock pinnacles may be encountered between the boring locations….Based on the proposed grades, we anticipate that rock excavation and/or blasting will be required within a portion of the proposed detention basin.”

Quantity of rock broken and removed for pool and infrastructure excavation as of January 3rd – 1267 cubic yards Fiscal impact of rock broken as of January 3rd - $190,074.00 Bulk of remaining rock anticipated in storm sewer trench excavation
