Improvement of the radioactive waste management regulations in the Republic of Macedonia: Good practice within IAEA supported projects T. Sandev, G. Angelovski, G. Trajkov, N. Shahin Radiation Safety Directorate, Skopje, Macedonia E-mail: trifce.sandev@drs.gov.mk Paper highlights: We present the national approach in the improvement of the radioactive waste management regulations in the Republic of Macedonia We stress the support from the International Atomic Energy Agency to the Radiation Safety Directorate in developing new and improvement of the existing regulations within various national, regional and international projects All the work done by the Radiation Safety Directorate staff was acknowledged in January 2013 by the IAEA Department of Technical Cooperation with a Certificate of Excellence for the TC Best Practice for 2012
