Global Learning Exploration of how our actions affect the lives of others, locally and globally Analysing how global forces affect justice, equality, equity (locally and globally) Challenging prejudice, including challenging Eurocentric / Western views on issues Presenting multiple viewpoints from different cultures / geographical areas / sections of communities Embracing complexity, exploration of identities, living with difference Critical reflective thinking based on greater international / global understanding with the aim of bringing about change Promoting a collaborative, participatory approach to learning and action This is a framework on global learning developed by Clare Bentall and colleagues at DERC, Institute of Education, for use on a research and development project. It is a distillation of ideas from a range of literature.
