Benefits: Improved road safety Improved road capacity Improved traffic management Improved social inclusion Environmental advantages Efficient spatial use

Factors needed to achieve maximum benefits: the preferences of society 1 the objectives and possibilities of the industry 2 the facilitation and regulation by the government 3

Challenges: 1. There is currently no proven, practical way to test safety prior to widespread use. 2. There is no consensus on how safe self-driving cars should be. 3. Real-world driving experience is essential, but it also exposes people to the safety risks
