THE FIRST PHASE Participation in meeting held in Kuldiga (Latvia) on 31 of May, 2018

THE FIRST PHASE A public procurement for the project verifier was completed and the contract was signed on 24th of October, 2018.

THE FIRST PHASE A public procurement of cleaning services was established on 14th of September, 2018

THE FIRST PHASE During 8th and 12th of October, the project delegation from the Telšiai District Municipality Administration visited  Poland and Germany.

Challenges A public procurement of cleaning services was established on 14th of September and the procedures are still in process.

Challenges One of the suppliers has filed a lawsuit and The court ordered the administration of Telšiai district municipality not to conclude the procurement contract until the final decision of the court will be made.

Challenges The main problem is the lack of time. The polluted soil is intended to be cleaned on site and the cleaning process may take a year or more depending on the weather conditions. Project must be implemented until 30 of April, 2020. There is a serious risk of not implementing the project on time.

Results reached We have received a positive decision on the procurement procedure on 26th of February, 2019. BUT.... The public procurement procedures are stopped till the appeal time will be over. Now we must wait till March 13th.

However, there are things need to be done…
