Future intercalibration Need to be precise on what can be finalised in the current phase [overview table will be annexed to the paper] Important to keep momentum - work that is already far advanced should continue without a break Need for a constructive break: period of consolidation, reflection, preparation of the remaining work Need to assess the precision and the quality of the current intercalibration work (even elements included in the 2006 report may need additional work)

Future intercalibration Different parts of the work at the appropriate time What is appropriate time needs to be determined by GIGs ; this may be several years from now for some QE – but it is important to ensure that data and research needs are met in the meantime research needs need to be highlighted both at national and European level – recommendation for FP7 transparency and communication needs to be a priority throughout the process
