The Boer nations in flames Scorched Earth Policy The Boer nations in flames

Lord Kitchener Burn down Boer farms Destroy their crops and livestock To prevent Boer troops from taking shelter and getting supplies from farming community who were on their side.

They were taken to… CONCENTRATION CAMPS

Concentration Camps Captured Boer people so that they will not help the Boer soldiers It weakened the Boer morale (spirit, confidence)

Led to their final defeat… The Boers surrendered in May 1902. 18 000 Boer men were still willing to fight. The deaths of their women and children were too much to endure
