A.P. Central The comparative essay focuses on developments in at least two societies or regions. It relates to major themes in the course, such as social and gender structures, interactions between or among societies, political organization, or economic systems. Comparative questions always require analysis of reasons for the similarities and differences identified. Students may have the opportunity to choose different cases for comparisons.

Rubric Comparative Essay 1. Has acceptable thesis. 1 (Addresses comparison of the issues or themes specified.) 2. Instructions: Comparative Essay 1)Using your text and your homework come up with three categories to compare these 2 dynasties. 2)After you have chosen those three categories- research the ways in which those dynasties responded in those cases. Find similarities and differences. Make note of the historical details… 3)After you have done step ½ you must go back and find the significance of those actions.
