But most people think of the second definition when they use this word: "2. to conceive in the light of individual belief, judgment or circumstance " {Webster} ONLY ONE can possibly CORRECT! GOD only meant ONE THING! TRUTH is ONLY ONE THING! John 14:6

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DIFFERENT INTERPRETATIONS OF THE BIBLE? Some don’t believe the Bible is inspired – 2 Timothy 3:16 Galatians 1:11-13 “came through revelation of Jesus Christ” 1 Thessalonians 2:13 “not the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God”

THE BIBLE IS EITHER INSPIRED BY GOD OR THE WHOLD THING IS A LIE Job 1800-2000 years before Christ wrote “hangs the earth on nothing” – “stretches out the north over empty space” – Job 26:7 Isaiah in 761 B.C. Earth in the shape of a CIRCLE – Isaiah 40:22 Israel knew about isolation 1500 years before Christ – Leviticus 13:45,46

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DIFFERENT INTERPRETATIONS OF THE BIBLE? “The Bible Is Full Of Mistakes!” Over 20,000 documents available – not one fact or doctrine changed by any variant readings! Mathew 24:35 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will be no means pass away.”

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DIFFERENT INTERPRETATIONS OF THE BIBLE? Religious Traditions (i.e. Roman Catholicism) Writing of “Church Fathers” added - uninspired Matthew 15:8,9 “doctrines the commandments of men” John 16:13 Holy Spirit guided apostles in ALL TRUTH 2 John 9 “transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ” 1 Corinthians 4:6 “not think beyond what is written?

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DIFFERENT INTERPRETATIONS OF THE BIBLE? Modern Day Revelation (i.e. Mormons, J.W., Catholics) Mormons – Bible, as long as it does not conflict modern revelation Catholics believe church can make laws – sometime contrary to Bible – John 14:26; 16:13 IF the were NOT guided into ALL TRUTH, Jesus LIED! Jude 3 – “the faith” was “once for all delivered” Galatians 1:8,9

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DIFFERENT INTERPRETATIONS OF THE BIBLE? The Bible Just Can’t Be Understood! “No such thing as religious error – you interpret it your way, I interpret it my way, & God will accept us all!” IS it rational to believe that an all wise, all knowing GOD would have SO MUCH TROUBLE making Himself understood to HIS CREATION, that He would just have to let them believe whatever they want to believe? 1 Corinthians 1:10; Ephesians 3:3,4 John 8:32 “you shall know the truth”

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DIFFERENT INTERPRETATIONS OF THE BIBLE? “Whatever Is Not Forbidden Is Allowed!” On this basis: organ, pianos, fellowship halls, baseball teams, etc. in the work of the local church! Same end as Nadab & Abihu – Leviticus 10:1,2 NOT a question of “Where Did God Say ‘Thou Shalt Not,’ but ‘Where Did God Authorize it?”

The True meaning of the bible is lost when people begin to look at it through the eyes of preconceived ideas Must have a healthy respect for the Bible as the inerrant revealed will of God – 1 Samuel 3:10 Can we properly interpret what God caused to be written? When we do indeed know His will, we will all know the same thing!
