INDUCTION Mandatory Rehearsal - Tuesday, November 27th - 4:05-5:05 Induction - Wednesday, November 28th - 7- 8:30pm Inductees please arrive at 6:30 and go straight to the cafeteria!

REQUIREMENTS - HOURS BREAKDOWN All members are required to complete 20 hours by May 24th. IN CLUB (5 hours) - Anything advertised by NHS. These are sent out by the Secretaries and can be found on the NHS wix site. TUTORING (5 hours) - Tutor students at BR. MIXED (10 hours) - Can be in club or tutoring or out of club. Out of club needs advisers approval PRIOR to completion of service.

Tutoring hours must be documented and verified. All members are required to attend tutoring seminars prior to tutoring at Broad Run. Before School - 8:00-9:05 - Room 186 After School - 4:03-5:15 - Room 186 Study Hall/Early Release - Library Tutoring hours must be documented and verified.

APPROVED OUT OF CLUB TYPES OF SERVICE: Parents Night Out, Debate Tournament, Religious Institution, volunteering in the community, etc. May not count the same amount of service hours towards other organizations. For example: If a member attends Parents Night Out from 5-10pm, he/she cannot count 5 hours towards NHS and 5 towards Key Club.

REQUIREMENTS - GROUP POINT Each year, NHS organizes 4 committee events: Golf for a Cause - Late October/Early November Holiday Party - Mid December Basket Bingo - Early March Color Run - Late April In order to receive the group point, each member must attend all committee meetings, meet the financial donation requirement and attend the event.

REQUIREMENTS - GROUP POINT BASKET BINGO - March 8th/March 9th - Committee meetings will begin in January. Members required to do the following: Get a $75 donation ($50 check/cash, $25 merchandise/gift card) Sell a certain number of tickets for people to attend the event. Post on social media platforms **Be aware that there is an SAT the morning of March 9th**

REQUIREMENTS - GROUP POINT COLOR RUN - April 27th - 6am-12pm Committee meetings will begin in February. Members required to do the following: Get a $50 donation Post on social media platforms Hang up flyers for the event. **Be aware that this is the same weekend as DECA ICDC**

Member Expectations This is a voluntary organization. You are expected to uphold ALL four NHS pillars for the duration of your time as a member. Hard Work but a valuable experience that will serve you in college and beyond.
